I realize this might go without saying, but even if you are Deathwarden, killing yourself may not even ensure peace and quiet these days.

I only stay dead for a short period of time. It doesn't really stick with me.

If it's a matter of blocking out the Void, perhaps there's something I can try. A shield of sorts on your mind.

Did such a shield help you in the caves?

Only to a point. Get close enough to the Void itself and I'm not sure it makes much of a difference. But the further away you remain, the easier it is to maintain some form of block.

A possibility. Is this something you set or have to maintain?

For myself, the shields are in place until I choose to lower them. For others, I'm less certain of the details short of actually attempting the spell.

My concern is that if you need to maintain them, like you do on yourself, that means they can be dropped whenever it suits you.

It's not that. It's the lack of control. It doesn't matter how much I trust someone, it's still something under the control of another. Assuming that's what it is.

I'm aware it's paranoia but can you really blame me?

Because I wouldn't allow just anyone into my head, either.
